What
an interesting past week, I almost lost the comic! I
was working on episode 1, page 5, scene 5 when the
computer froze, so I rebooted. Then, when it got the
the Windows 98 screen (still not actually in
windows) it got stuck. The little animated bar at
the bottom still was moving but, even after 15 minutes
it was in the same stage of booting up. After a few
reboots, it quit showing the windows screen at all.
After working for hours to repair it to no avail,
and cursing at the fact that I was about to lose
everything, I decided to try making this hard drive
secondary to our old junk one. It actually worked,
and I was able to boot the computer up and even
access the now secondary hard drive.
I
later found the problem, when it saved scene 5 and
froze, it left a bad spot on the hard drive. Oddly
though, the windows folder has simply disappeared.
So I'm going to have to use this junk hard drive for
a while.
I've
spent the past three days installing all the
programs I need to continue my projects (including
the comic) on the junk hard drive. And then yesterday,
another problem appeared. The monitor just simply
went out! We replaced it with a very small, very old
one, but it won't last long.
=/
Anyway,
E1P5 and E1P6 is up. The next will be up soon.

Well,
I got the site up! I rushed though, so I'll re-write
most this stuff later. But first, I need to finish
E1P5, so I'm going to go get started. Later!

Birthday
was great! I went out for Chinese, love that sesame
seed chicken! Just posting to say that I'll put the
more interesting emails up here. Now to finish and
try and put this site up!

Tomorrow's
my B-Day, so I'm gonna try and get the site all up.
For now its just going to be a tripod freebie, but
one day... perhaps... well, just make sure you tell

Hi,
I'm David Sprague, and I'm the main "author" of
"The 8-bit Comic". I'm the guy who
actually puts everything together. Scouring the net
for great background photos... Resizing the tiny
characters... Adding speech-bubbles...
So
basically I do all the work.
Ok,
so maybe some friends help a little. I'm going to
admit that I'm not the best writer, so my pal Tom is
the man behind most of the story and jokes. Oh, and
John bugged me till I changed "Townville"
to "Urbanville". Apparently Townville
sounds too much like Townsville.
Anyway,
we are just starting out and want to know: what do
you think of the comic? And how does the site look?
